Arts, Culture & Political Education

A team of core member leaders drives this part of our work, which promotes art, culture and political education as an essential part of re-building the foundation of our community.

Through a variety of events, including our political education series on topics like black love, black art and music, black history in Detroit and more, we engage the community in a way that inspires community dialogue, collaboration, and collective thinking.

How can we build a collective movement centered on community and justice? Join our monthly series, where we use film as a catalyst to gather our community and engage in active, forward-thinking dialogue around issues that face Detroiters.

Upcoming Film Selections:

February 2018: "I Am Not Your Negro"
