Too many American workers—whether they are fast-food workers, child care workers, or home care workers—are paid too little to support their families. Wages have been stagnant for too long, and hard working people in our community are forced to scrape by to provide for themselves and their families. That’s why we’re coming together with working people and families across Detroit to say we’ve had enough.
It’s time for big corporations like McDonald’s and our elected leaders to support $15 and a union for all workers.
On November 10th, working people who are building the Fight for $15 movement will stand up together for a day of national action and election battleground states like Michigan are ground zero. One year out from Election Day, we are joining together and standing up to build power in our community. We’re going to make our voices heard in this election.
Join us on Monday, November 9th from 6pm-8pm as we bring together community leaders to help turn out their friends and family to the rally on Tuesday and make signs for the strike. Dinner and transportation will be provided and children are encouraged to attend.
Please contact Rebecca Thompson if you need access to transportation to attend.
